About Suicide: Les Femmes

After a successful and thrilling third event on Sept 25th, “Suicide: The Party” returns on as a new lesbian party in San Francisco called Les Femmes.  SuicideGirls.com Photographer and Model, Taye Suicide hosts this fourth “Suicide” event in San Francisco. “Suicide: Les Femmes” is an urban subculture event featuring the elements of music, art, fashion and dance, aimed primarily at the hip twenty-one and older bisexual and gay female demographic.  The party will feature a live photo shoot by Taye, go-go dancing by select Suicide Girls and an open casting call for new models. The VIP will include catering, bottle service, several Suicide Girls, local celebrities, radio and music industry personnel as well as musicians and artists alike. Several top-notch artists and/or DJ’s will provide our entertainment for the evening, among them will be the influential lesbian DJ Nuxx who has become a permanent fixture in San Francisco and the U.S. dance music industry.  Hong Kong born DJ Nuxx has made a name for herself since transplanting from the East Coast, creating “Cockblock”, a mixed-gender queer dance party, and rocking club crowds all across the Bay Area. Schooled in DJ’ing via the fierce and cutting-edge New York party scene, she brings together classical music training and sharp aesthetics to spin anything from 90’s pop, 80’s freestyle, dance pop, classic rock to house, funk disco, and Hip Hop favorites of the past two decades. DJ Nuxx is a resident DJ at COCKBLOCK, The Bar on Castro Tuesday Nights and at JET every other Thursday.  Also performing will be well known lesbian DJ Lisa Pittman who holds residency at Las Vegas monster clubs such as Studio 54, Tao Las Vegas, and Krave.  In 2004 Lisa was awarded the “Best Female DJ in the City of Las Vegas” and made the top 10 of “People to Watch” in Las Vegas. Along with her Residency at Tao, 54 & Krave she spins MGM Poolside, Hardrock Pool, and Tao Beach. She also performs every year at the annual event THE Dinah every March in Palm Springs, CA, spinning for CLUB SKIRTS THE DINAH.

About SuicideGirls:

With a vibrant, sex positive community of women (and men), SuicideGirls was founded on the belief that creativity, personality and intelligence are not incompatible with sexy, compelling entertainment, and millions of people agree. The site mixes the smarts, enthusiasm and DIY attitude of the best music and alternative culture sites with an unapologetic, grassroots approach to sexuality.

In the same way Playboy Magazine became a beacon and guide to the swinging bachelor of the 1960s, SuicideGirls is at the forefront of a generation of young women and men whose ideals about sexuality do not conform with what mainstream media is reporting.

Although started as a two person operation out of a loft in downtown Portland, OR in 2001, in five short years SuicideGirls has grown its audience to over 5 million unique visitors a month. With hundreds of thousands of subscribers, over a thousand models, a successful book and DVD in stores and a new clothing line, there’s no telling what SG will next come up with to separate fans from their hard earned money.
